Keri Larsen, Hamptons Pilates Instructor at Pilates East QuogueKeri’s passion for Pilates started in 2001.  She began her practice to assist recovery from a back injury sustained while working as a horticulturist in a public garden.  With a background in ballet and modern dance, Pilates was an immediate and natural fit!  Keri was amazed at how effectively the method worked to strengthen her core, promote healing, relieve pain and help her prevent future injury.  She studied initially at Pilates of New Paltz- under the experienced and talented guidance of Elise Bacon.  Keri continued her practice for the next few years- falling in love with the mind/body method and it’s common sense approach to whole body fitness and well being.

Inspired and transformed- Keri decided to hone her skills and share this fascinating movement experience with others.  After completing a rigorous teacher training program at Power Pilates in N.Y.C., she received her comprehensive certification in 2005.  Privileged to study under the guidance of Bob Liekens and Susan Moran-Perich- she deepened her understanding of this powerful, intelligent method.  Keri has been teaching at studios and privately in the  Hamptons, NYC, and the Hudson Valley since then.  She opened Pilates East Quogue in the spring of 2010.

Keri’s love of movement and appreciation for the Pilates method is evident in her teaching, as she strives to reveal to her students how beneficial, enlightening , and FUN doing Pilates can be!
